i agree that too many kids who are simply spoiled brats who have no self control cuz they never learned it . there are however real cases. im one of them and i have many adult friends like myself that are known as daydreamers cuz our minds wont focus because of misfiring of chemicals in my brain. a sympton can be behavioural disturbances but mostly its a focus deficiency. i respect your opinion . parents need educating in humane dicipline and boundries

Well I have AD/HD, in fact most XXY guys do have AD/HD that's why they can't control themselves in a discussion group and frequently need a Moderator, yet they don't realise their socialisation difficulties can be easily remedied with mediation or with a strenuous daily regime of compartmentalising their day. I don't know about the situation in Canada, but I do know AD/HD is a bona fide Psychiatric illness.

I'm glad there are groups fighting this. However, I am suspicious of CCHR, because of its apparent connections to Scientology. Scientology is an evil cult that isolates its members from their families (if the family is not part of the Church), harasses and spies on critics of The Church or anyone they perceive as an enemy. The Church was caught trying to steal FBI records (look up Operation Snow White). I respect you a lot Crypter, so I hope you don't find my comments demeaning.

They're all hoaxes. Dyslexia is basically just illiteracy. The symptoms of dyslexia are the same as the traits of an illiterate person, including reading words backwards. There is no consensus about how it should be defined or what diagnostic criteria should be used. Forget about letter reversals, clumsiness, inconsistent hand preference and poor memory these are commonly found in people without reading difficulties, and in poor readers not considered to be dyslexic.

My father who is for sure dyslexic but never diagnosed for it. But living with someone who is obviously dyslexics you know it exists. I don't know about ADHD and I'm more sceptical about fibromyalgia

There are groups,that fight against this,like psyche truth & cchr,I'm a member of cchr. And allot of parents,are fighting against this & so is the public,thats why state legislators. Have passed laws,against this but when the corporate drug pushers. Were pushed out of the schools,by the states they were bailedout by the federal goverment. Thus teen screen,the federal child drugging program!

I'd advise against …
I'd advise against having him diagnosed at all. Once that's on his record, it's going to follow him around his whole life, and schools will be putting the pressure on to have him put on drugs. There is no benefit to having children diagnosed with a fake disease.
