Psoriatic arthritis is an arthritis associated with the skin disease psoriasis. Psoriasis is red, scaly, itchy patches on the skin. It can be very painful. I have bad psoriatic arthritis with psoriasis and treat it with Enbrel. So far it's helping. On bad flareups I take prednisone. There is no cure and you can't catch it from anyone.
