Do you know for Rheumatoid arthritis Celery and Juniper tablets work miracles?
I have been on them for 2 years now before I started them I was in hospital every 3 months for a year and now I have not been admitted once yet for that reason, had back surgery though.(different problem) The swelling is so well under control I have been able to wear a ring on my hand for the last year and a half Im so happy. Its been years since I have been able to wear any of my rings. I never thought it would work, not that well any way and its cheap to buy. Does any one agree? Or have any other little miricles.
Hi Deb, that's great news for you. Celery is a natural antioxidant and antioxidants help to reduce inflammation.
Way to go,findiing what works for you!
I have had great success with a nutritional product that is also high in antioxidants. Taking this product has helped me to return to a normal life.
I continued on with other healthy life style changes and hope to remain well for a very long time.
I'm always so pleased when I hear of others who have found success.

There are many phytochemicals in celery and juniper berries which go far beyond antioxidants. They modulate inflammation in the body and help it to function as intended instead of just blocking it as you would with a drug.

Hi Deb
I agree that Celery is a good chose for rheumatoid arthritis.
Other natural herbs you could look into are
Boswellia which anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties makes it very popular herb for arthritis, White Willow Bark is another herb used for arthritis which contains the active ingredient salicin which reduces inflammation and reduces pain and finally Devil's Claw which has anti-inflammatory properties.
All those herbs are well known for the relief of some of the symptoms associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
If you decide you want to try one or more of these herbs you should read up on the side effects and benefits of each herb and then take it up with your doctor how to proceed.
I really hope this helps

Deb, You are experiencing relief from the swelling and that is what counts. Surely, you will keep taking the Celery and Juniper tablets. In case something changes, there are herbal recommendations for RA sufferers from Dr. Andrew Weil (a Harvard medical doctor who is widely recognized for his expertise in alternative medicine) that include taking one or two capsules daily of Feverfew (for anti-inflammatory effect).
He mentions ginger and turmeric are also effect as anti-inflammatory herbs. (He recommends a product that contains both herbs, called Zyflamend.) Here is the link that provides his detailed recommendations for RA: http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/id/ART00663
Also, the highly regarded Mayo Clinic profiled a woman who was diagnosed with RA thirty (30) years ago. She manages her symptoms with a healthy lifestyle. Here is the link to her story: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/rheumatoid-arthritis/AR00018
